Scope and Content The Tomnahurich swing bridge carries the A82, Inverness to Fort William road, over the canal. Tomnahurich cemetery, laid out in 1863 as a new cemetery for the town, is at top left. At top right is a part of the Bught, with the caravan park and Queen's Park athletics ground. Loch Ness House Hotel is at bottom left with Torvean golf course to its right. Loch Ness House hotel has been recently refurbished (2020) and is now part of the Beefeater chain. Torvean golf course was opened in 1962 and extended in the 1980s. It was closed in 2019 and relocated, to make way for the western link road development. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
