Scope and Content This is a view of the Caledonian Canal between Tomnahurich and Muirtown, Inverness. The Muirtown Locks are at top centre at which point the canal turns left into the Muirtown Basin. Muirtown and Kinmylies are on the left hand of the canal with Dalneigh on the right. Dalneigh Primary School is at centre right. This was officially opened in 1957 but started taking pupils in 1954. Glenalbyn and Glenmhor Distilleries can be seen at top centre on the right hand side of the canal and Inverness Caledonian Telford Street football ground is to their right.
