Scope and Content The collection comprises 68 photographic prints of sites in Angus, Kincardineshire and Fife including several dovecots; Toorie House. Montrose; the old toll house at Kinnaber Bridge; the post office and watermill in Glen Ogilvy; buildings in Forfar; weaver's cottages in Jericho; Easter Braikie Castle and Vayne Castle, as well as a small sketch of Melville dovecot on the reverse of the photograph. The photographs were possibly taken by Lady Maitland for the Scottish National Buildings Record and they are all dated 1958, some of the buildings were demolished the same year.
Archive History Deposited with the Scottish National Buildings Record between 1959 and 1966 likely by Lady Maitland. The prints are mounted on cards stamped 'Scottish National Buildings Record', the copyright is recorded as 'Lady Maitland' while 'photographer' has been left blank.
