Scope and Content A collection of photographs of Inverness and area in the 1880s and 1890s, taken by Alexander Dallas, watch and clockmaker, Inverness: subjects include: sitting room of 4 Hill Place before and after the installation of gas; the Town Hall and Church Street, evidently decorated for the 1887 Royal Jubilee; Free Church, Bank Street; Inverness Episcopal Cathedral; dedication of monument to 79th Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders; view from tower of Old High Church; parade of Volunteers Company, 1894; general view of Kessock.
Archive History Copied by RCAHMS, courtesy of Miss I Dallas, as a Survey of a Private Collection. No formal accession has yet been identified, but format of cataloguing indicates acquired by RCAHMS prior to c.1983.
