Scope and Content Broch known as Tirefour Castle at Lismore, Argyll and Bute Tirefour broch stands on the highest part of a ridge on the E coast of the island and has clear views of the surrounding countryside and sea. Two outer walls protected the NE and SW flanks. The site has not been excavated. This is a plan showing the layout of the broch. The location of the outer defences can be seen to the NE and SW. The broch itself is circular with the entrance to the SW. The gallery shown is at first floor level. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
