Scope and Content A sketchbook of Sir David Erskine (1772-1837) dramatist and antiquary, 1821, containing sketches of sites in Berwickshire, Roxburghshire and West Lothian areas, in particular, Dryburgh Abbey, the seat of his father, the 11th Earl of Buchan.
Archive History The album was lent to RCAHMS by Mr John G Dunbar for copying as a Survey of a Private Collection (Inventory 98). Mr Dunbar subsquently donated the original album to RCAHMS (accessioned as Acc No 2010/33).
