Scope and Content Temporary camp at Wooden Home Farm, Kelso, Scottish Borders The Roman temporary camp at Wooden Home Farm was discovered by aerial survey in 1976. The camp was probably a base for reconnaissance troops during the Agricolan campaigns. There are no visible remains on the ground, but parts of the camp can still be seen as cropmarks in aerial views such as this one. One rounded angle, and parts of the two adjacent sides, can be seen here. There is an entrance on the longer side. Not all of the camp is known, so the dimensions given are approximate, based on the available land. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
