Scope and Content Temporary camp at Wooden Home Farm, Scottish Borders This Roman temporary camp is at Wooden Hill Farm. It was possibly a base for reconnaissance troops during the Agricolan period. This is an aerial view of the site. Two sides of the camps and one rounded corner can be seen as cropmarks. There is an entrance with a tutulus about halfway down the longer side. The site was discovered through aerial photography in the early 1970s. It was confirmed as a Roman camp when a section was cut through the ditch of the SW side. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
