Scope and Content Possible henge monument at Ravenshall, Fife The ditch of this small henge was discovered as a cropmark on oblique aerial photographs. The ditch is broad and shaped like a horseshoe. It is broken by an entrance causeway on the NE. This is an aerial view and the ditch of the henge can be seen as a dark-green penannular ring. Above it lies the cropmark of the homestead. This is defined by a dark-green semicircular ditch containing the narrow groove of a timber round-house. This possible henge has been levelled by ploughing. It lies in a field with other cropmarks, including a homestead, traces of early cultivation and several pits. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
