Scope and Content Probably 19th century single storey cottage, listed as having a ‘muran thatch roof, secured with ropes and stone weights’. The building has been renovated for use as holiday accomodation and now has a heather thatch roof with a continuous heather ridge. The entire thatch has been netted, which is weighted at the eaves and around the chimney stacks at either gable end with stones, secured to the netting with wire.
