Scope and Content Part of a reconstruction at The Highland Folk Museum of an early 1700s Highland township. This building is used for children’s activites in the township, and has a thatched barn used for storage and amenities behind it that is not open to the public. Both roofs are thatched in heather and have a turf ridge, and both have been left uncovered. There is a small amount of mossy vegetation growth across the surface of the thatch throughout.
