Scope and Content Hill-fort and Watch tower at Rubers Law, Scottish Borders This native fort and Roman watch tower stand on Rubers Law, the second highest point in the area. It has clear views in all directions. Part of the fort reuses some of the worked stone from the Roman structure. This is an aerial view of the site. The native fort consisted of a stone-walled enclosure with an entrance to the NE. The fort has one annexe to the S. A number of Roman finds came from the site. These include a hoard of bronze vessels found close to the summit in 1863 which are now in Hawick Museum. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
