Scope and Content Temporary camp at Fala Mill, Midlothian This Roman temporary camp is at Fala Mill. It is quite a small camp and was first discovered from the in 1977. It was built on gently-sloping land about 800 m E of Dere Street, the main Roman road into south-eastern Scotland. The camp itself can now only be seen from the air, as a cropmark. One side and a corner can be seen in this image. The whole of the NE side, part of the SW, most of the NW and three of the corners have been recorded. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
