Scope and Content This rubbing selects the bird carved in the Doo Cave, now destroyed. Undated rubbing likely created 27 April 1866. This date is after James Young Simpson's lecture to the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland in January 1866. The identity of the creator of the rubbing is uncertain.
