Collyer, Esq., by Mr D M'Gibbon, Architect, Edinburgh, in 1859-60. The elevation is good, and forms an agreeable variety from the Scotch Manor house style so prevalent in the present day. The pleasure grounds slope towards the river Clyde, which bounds the park on the south at a distance of half-a-mile. From the house and garden terraces there are fine views of Tinto, the Dungavels, Culter Fell, and Quothquan Law'. PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM No.164: LANARKSHIRE ALBUM The buildings has since been demolished.
