Administrative History North of Scotland Archaeological Society (NOSAS) was formed in 1998 by a group of former students of the University of AberdeenÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs Centre for Continuing Education Certificate in Archaeology. Its objectives are to promote the study of archaeology in the North of Scotland and to promote it to a wider audience. The Society organises field-walking, field survey, excavation, talks, meetings and events. The Society should not be confused with North of Scotland Archaeological Services (NOSAS), 1976-82 (see Collection 163).
