Scope and Content This report summarises the work undertaken by the National Trust for Scotland St Kilda Archaeologist during 2004, and off the island during the winter of 2003-2004. Four work parties carried out conservation work under archaeological supervision and two archaeological work parties undertook exploratory work within the village area around the souterrain. Appendices deal with coastal erosion assessment, excavation of House 6, a bracken survey, a survey of nesting birds within structures, and repairs to the Dry Burn. A new discovery was a building platform on the west side of An Lag.
