Scope and Content Edinburgh Quay is a major redevelopment based around the Lochrin Basin, the eastern terminus of the regenerated Union Canal. The redevelopment comprises mixed-use modern blocks containing office, commercial and residential units. The canal basin itself is again busy with barges, some offeing tours along the canal, others permanently moored as a floating hotel. The offices and residential units are multi-storeyed, and comprise a mixture of materials including glass, metal cladding and rendered sections. Many of the residential units around the basin have small balconies.
