Scope and Content A collection of reports, drawings and photographs from archaeological excavation and survey projects by Biggar Museum Trust. Most of these relate to work in Lanarkshire, but a few record work in Ayrshire and Dumfriesshire.

Administrative History The Biggar Museum Trust aims to collect, preserve and record the archaeological, social and historic heritage of Biggar and Upper Clydesdale and to promote access and enjoyment of the Museum's collections and archives. The Trust had became responsible for a number of local museums holding collections gathered since c.1970. Recognising that these buildings were unable to meet modern requirements, the Trust was incorporated in 2011 worked towards the opening, in 2015, of a new Biggar and Upper Clydesdale Museum.
