Scope and Content The field notebook by Kenneth A. Steer contains notes and drawings predominantly of sites in Argyll. The sites recorded are mainly burial grounds, sculpted stone slabs, tombs, effigies and crosses. Amongst others, the sites recorded include: the Iona Nunnery; cross slabs at Ardchattan Priory; Danranch Cairn, Strontoiller Cairn; the burial ground at St. Columba's Chapel, Canna and Campbell of Lerags Cross, Kilbride.
