Scope and Content Sky-light of booking-hall of Waverley Station, Edinburgh Waverley Station, originally Edinburgh General Station, was completed in 1846 to replace Haymarket as the eastern terminus of the North British Railway. It was massively extended following the 1890 completion of the Forth Railway Bridge. This is the highly decorated octagonal skylight in the north east corner of the booking-hall which was built in 1892-1902. The date 1897 probably refers to when the main structure was completed.
