Administrative History Alan Small (1937-99), geographer and archaeologist. Alan Small graduated with First Class Honours degree in Geography from Aberdeen University in 1959, and lectured in the Geography Department there until 1969, when he moved to the Senior Lectureship in the Geography Department of the University of Dundee in 1969. He became Reader in the Department in 1975.
