Scope and Content Inverkeithing Station, Inverkeithing, Fife Inverkeithing Station was rebuilt in 1890 as a two-platform through-station. Most of it was replaced by modern structures in the late 20th century. This is the station viewed from he south before the rebuilding showing brick and wood offices on the north-bound platform. The Edinburgh-Inverkeithing-Dundee, or Fife, line of the North British Railway was opened on 17 September, 1847 by the then Edinburgh and Northern Railway. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
