Scope and Content Description of esquisse on the back: Design spaces for changed places: With sea levels predicted to rise, this proposal is one way Scotland could address the future extremes of flooding. Attached to the upper structure of the Forth Rail Bridge, a series of floating piers maintain buoyancy with the ebb and flow of the rising Firth of Forth tides. With energy supplied through wind and wave generators, each pier accommodates diverse residential and commercial programmes and allows for a small population to thrive in this extreme climate.
