Scope and Content A collection of glass negatives and photographic prints of early medieval and of later medieval West Highland sculpture, c.1881-1900. Many of these images were used in Allen and Anderson's 'Early Christian Monuments of Scotland' (1903). Other photographs were taken by Rev J B Mackenzie, Minister of Colonsay 1861-72 and of Kenmore 1872-1911.

Archive History The collection was donated to RCAHMS by the National Museums of Scotland in 1997. Previously catalogued as Collection 359/3/14 and 359/4572. Recataloguing of this collection has not yet been completed, but will see the replacement of the 359 references.
