Scope and Content Enclosed cremation cemetery at Fall Hill, South Lanarkshire The enclosed cremation cemetery on Fall Hill is the only known example in Lanarkshire. It consists of a low circular bank around a small mound. The cremations were placed in small pits in the ground, capped with stones. The site has not been excavated. This is a plan of the cemetery. A broken pair of rings is indicated to the NW and SE. These are grooves which are thought to have been used to support a timber or wattle screen. The central mound is 4.3 m in diameter.
