Scope and Content Temporary camp at Househill, Dunipace, Stirling This Roman temporary camp is at Househill. In stands on the N bank of the River Carron, in open woodland, just S of the road. In some places, a low bank can still be traced on the ground. This is an aerial view of the site. An angle and part of two sides of the camp can be seen as cropmarks. All together, three of the camp's four corners are known. The fourth had probably been eroded away. The site has been excavated, confirming it to be of Roman origin. A gateway on the W side was also located. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
