Description Interior. Area above Hopper 1 and 'Old' Pan Mill screen. Processed and screened clay dust was deposited into the hopper to await dispatch by (latterly) lorry from both the 'old' and 'new' Pan Mills.The ramp would have carried the screen dust to the hopper below. Clay which did not go through the screen would be fed from the screen drum to the return chute to be milled again in the dry pan mill.
