Administrative History The survey was a massive undertaking and required a great deal of planning and preparation, both prior to its start and during its course. The team sent out questionnaires to establish the information needs of various stakeholders. They consulted existing records to write preliminary reports on each area, using archives and conducting a literature review. The methodology for the survey was carefully honed and the sheet to record each building altered to meet the needs identified above. Particular attention was given to the sampling method to ensure that a representative sample of various building types was given.
