Scope and Content Unfinished handwritten paper by Petrie intended as sequel to his paper in Proc Soc Antiq Scot 2 (1854-7), 56-62, but not published and possibly not finished. Titled 'Description of Antiquities examined in Orkney during the years 1855, 1856 and 1857 with Illustrative Drawings'. Includes excavations at the East Broch of Burray. Part of another paper written later describes excavations in 1861 at the Ring of Brodgar and the Ring of Bookan, a description of the Stones of Stenness including the 'cromlech', and a description of the Stone of Odin and the Watch Stone. Five double sheets.
