Administrative History When it became necessary for the College to move to new premises, and open and attractive site of 29 acres was purchased at Crammond, on the outskirts of Edinburgh. The site is divided into two main areas; the level ground to the south which was laid out with playing fields, and a sloping portion to the north, containing mature trees, which has been used for the college buildings. These comprise of communal and teaching accommodation for about 300 students together with residences for 200. A courtyard type development was adopted, stepping down the slope and allowing trees and grass to flow through the complex. A covered bridge over a pool links the residences with the communal and teaching areas, which include the main assembly hall, library and lecture rooms, three gymnasia and a swimming pool.
