Scope and Content The collection comprises material derived from excavations, surveys and other archaeological investigations, surveys of graveyards, war memorials, mostly relating to the council areas of Moray, Fife, Angus and Highlands. There is also a wide range of publications.
Archive History Archives and other material have been donated to RCAHMS on completion of projects from 1996 to the present.
System of Arrangement The collection is arranged by subject and then by council area.
Access Conditions There are no restrictions upon access.
Administrative History An archaeologist based in Nairn who has worked since 1994 as a field archaeologist not only widely across Britain, but also in France, Ireland and Greece on a variety of sites from prehistoric and Roman to modern industrial. His research interests include the study of graveyards, farm buildings and post-medieval sites that have related historical documentation. He is also a member of the Institute of Field Archaeologists and a fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland.
