Scope and Content A large collection of pencil drawings of antiquarian subjects 'drawn from nature' primarily in the Borders, Lothians and Fife between 1834 and 1840. Subjects include prehistoric monuments, churches, castles, villages and mills. The drawings may have been prepared as illustrations for a proposed book of topographical views which does not appear to have been published.
