Description Interior. Cask Rebuild Process. Jamie O' Hare, a cooper for 41 years, building or 'rising' a cask. The cask is being tightened with the windlass to allow the cooper to hammer on the other end or chime hoop. This tightens up the cask shell. To his right, note the removed red coded riser end or chime hoop which has been removed. the tightening up of the cask when it was turned loosend the temporary end hoop, so a smaller end hoop is hammered on by the cooper. Both of the end hoops will be replaced again after the Chappinng Out phase of the process.
