Description PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM NO. 249 A black leather photograph album with the initials “L.H” on the cover, containing mainly postcards by GWW and JV of towns and buildings around Scotland, including vernacular buildings in Aberfeldy, and scenes in Kenmore, Killin, Callendar, Blairgowrie, Meikleour, Kirkmichael, Dunkeld, Pitlochrie, Taynuilt, Oban, Connel, Drummond Castle, Millport, Largo, Crail, Elie and the Borders. There are a few snapshots of a family at a cottage, probably at Aberfeldy. It also contains several small engravings of the Palace of Holyroodhouse and Holyrood Abbey. A loose sheet printed "by arrangement with the Lamson Paragon Supply Co., Ltd." shows a portrait of Robert Louis Stevenson and a prayer by him presented "with the compliments of Warings of London Wall." Alternate pages contain professional views of scenes in Norway, Belgium, Holland and elsewhere. Page 15 is unusual in having etchings, including the rare view from which the album takes its name.
