Scope and Content Temporary camp at Keithock, Angus This Roman temporary camp is at Keithock. It was built on sloping ground on the right bank of the Cruick Water. No trace of the camp remains at ground level. This is an aerial view of the site with the camp showing up as a cropmark in the middle of the image. It is roughly trapezoidal in plan. There is a small, rectangular annexe on the NW side. The camp had six gates, at least four of which had tituli. The camp has been possibly associated with the campaigns of emperor Septimus Severus.
