Rectangular structure on OS 1:10,000 map, but unnamed, immediately to N of NJ83NE 36.01 (GRC BMR/1), and thus slightly off the crest of the E-W trending ridge on which the former site sits. This longhouse, with slight indications of internal sub-division, measures 11.2m by 3.6m internally; and 14.4m by 6.54m overall. The entrance position is uncertain, but appears most likely to have been on the S side. Its NW corner appears to overlie a length of slightly-hollowed track, occupying part of a former rig-and-furrow system. This eastern extremity of the Central Zone of Bellmuir is marked by a number of short lengths of rig-and-furrow, a number apparently having subsequently served as tracks which follow the first terrace back from the Ythan.

Information from Field Survey Report by R J Mercer and I B M Ralston, January 1989.
