Coles could find no trace of this feature, described in 1850 as 8 granite stones, standing 2 yds apart, forming a circle 60 links (39.6ft) in diameter, with another in the centre. The stones composing the circle weighed from 1-3 cwt while the central one was about 5 cwt. (c/f NX55NW 1, NX55NW 5, NX55NW 7 ).
