Location Notes: The panel lies on the top of Turin Hill, to the N side of a field wall running along the top of the hill and within the area of the hillfort Kemp's Castle which is a scheduled monument (SM142). The panel is a large boulder within a grouping of other boulders of the same size and large quantities of smaller stones, forming part of a structure within the hillfort area within which the panel appears to have been incorporated. There are extensive views to the N over the valley below and the hills to the N. Turin Hill 7 lies approximately 10m to the NW.
Panel Notes: The panle is a boulder measuring 1 x 0.7m across and rising to 0.5m at its heighest. It has a flattish, lemon-shaped surface, which slopes gently to the W. There are 3 possible cupmarks: a large cup about 6cm across and with a flat bottom to the N side; a large cup in the centre which is about 9cm across and has a rough interior; and a small cup, approximately 3cm across to the S of the central cup. This also has a rough interior and a slightly pointed end. All three may be natural features.
