Field Visit (1996)
An open quarry (probably created for the construction of the A82 between 1929 and 1932) is situated immediately N of the Clachaig Inn. Two structures associated with its use are still standing - a mortared stone store with a steel plate roof and concrete floor [c2.5m by c2m and at most
c1.75m high] - an explosives store(?); and a stone crushing platform of mortared stone and a concreted top [c2.7m square at the top and c3.6m tall].
