World War One Audit of Surviving Remains (16 September 2013)

Osborne (2006) records a drill hall in Fort Street, entered from Citadel Street. The 1937 OS 1:2500 map shows the hall behind the New Church, adjacent to the gateway of the former Cromwellian fort. It was built after the publication of the 1909 2nd edition map. It is not clear which units used the building in 1914.

The building appears to have been converted to housing.

Information from HS/RCAHMS World War One Audit Project (GJB) 16 September 2013.
