Recent aerial photography (Google Earth 2007), would suggest that a series of huts bases and emergency blast shelters survive of accommodation quarters site no.11. A number of open spaces are visible on the photographs and at least three of the blast shelters are depicted on the current OS digital maps.
A contemporary plan of the airfield (After the Battle, Airfield Plan no.19, Crown Copyright/RAF Museum), shows that this camp consisted of Officers and Sergeants quarters, barrack huts ablutions, latrines and other buildings.
Information from RCAHMS (DE), August 2009
Note (12 May 2022)
The Pillbox Study Group report nine blast shelters within the remains of the camp site as shown on a OS 1:2500map (1969). The remains of seven blast shelters are depicted on the current edition of the OS Master Map.
Information from Pillbox Study Group to HES 12 May 2022.
