Greenock, 7th Mar. The new ship CITY OF FLORENCE, one of the City Line of Clyde and Calcutta traders, has been aground in the river for the last two days. [See sailings from the Broomielaw in List of yesterday].

The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998), presumably confirming her successful recovery.
