Lerwick, 15th Nov., a nameboard was picked up at Bressay, 11th inst., with name "TRIO" on it.

Wick, 8th Dec., a bottle has been picked up on Keiss sands containing a slip of paper, on which is written, in pencil, "Nov. 4, 1875, brig TRIO, of Liverpool, in a [Record received incomplete].

The map sheet and quasi-administrative area assigned to this record are entirely arbitrary, being derived from the reported location of discovery of some of the wreckage.

The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998).
