26th October 1884, ALABAMA, age unknown, registered N. Shields, wooden ketch, 29 tons, 3 crew. Master and Owner G. Geddes, Nether Buckie, Banff. Was drawn up on the beach for repairs. Wind WNW 10. West Clunny [Cluny] Harbour, Buckie, Banffshire.

Cluny is not noted as such on the 1996 edition of the OS 1:50,00 map, but the lifeboat shed of that name (NJ46NW 38) is at NJ 42812 65972. Cluny Harbour, Buckie (NJ46NW 15.00) is centred at NJ 42883 66017.
