Publication Account (2008)

Chappell House is thought to date from c1800, and is probably built round an earlier building of c 1757; its stable block is also thought to be of this earlier date. It is possibly on the former site of the old chapel and hospital. All these buildings are listed Category B (fig 34).

Information from The Scottish Burgh Survey, Historic Barrhead: Archaeology and Development’, (2008).
