Archaeology Notes

NJ81NE 32.02 8595 1507.

The canal was overlain by the North of Scotland Railway, opened in 1854 before the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Aberdeenshire 1869, sheet lxv) was surveyed. This bridge is clearly marked on the map, a short distance to the W of the line taken by the railway and to the SE of Biedlieston.
