Archaeology Notes

NJ90NE 85 c. 9526 0953 to c. 95464 09717

A double line of anti-tank blocks with a pillbox at the NE end (NJ90NE 84) has been identified from wartime oblique aerial photographs (No.1 CAM, AF 861, flown 9 May 1942) situated on the the N shore of the River Don estuary.

The double row of anti-tank blocks noted at this location from vertical aerial photographs were not visible on the date of visit and have probably been removed.
