(NJ 6294 4707) Church (NAT)

OS 6" map, Banffshire, 2nd ed., (1904)

The parish church of Inverkeithny is an ancient edifice, the date of its erection being unknown, but there is a record of its having been repaired in 1638.

Name Book 1866.

The present church which is in normal use, does not have the appearance of any great age, and a date stone at the East end bears the initials J S M and the date 1881. The belfry bearing the date 1638 is much older and more weathered than the rest of the building and possibly belongs to an earlier church on the same site.

Visited by OS (JTT) 9 September 1964.

No further information.

Visited by OS (RL) 7 September 1967.
