World War One Audit of Surviving Remains (12 September 2013)

The Victoria Infantry Barracks in Queen's Road, Ballater were built in the 1880s to accommodate the Royal Guard when the monarch was in residence at Balmoral. It has remained in use since.

A project to characterise the quantity and quality of the Scottish resource of known surviving remains of the First World War. Carried out in partnership between Historic Scotland and RCAHMS.

A data upgrade project to record war memorials.
